God’s Children Great Talent (GCGT), Africa’s biggest gospel children and youth talent competition has announced plans to commence its season 7 during a media unveil at Four Points by Sheraton, Victoria Island in Lagos.
An initiative of the City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God since 2011, Season 7 talent competition is in partnership with The HOW Foundation.
The unveil not only witnessed live performances from past winners of GCGT but also attracted high profile guests that included Omawumi, Darey Art Alade, TY Mix, Kaffy, Uti Nwachukwu, Sensei Uche among others making it a star studded event.
Highlight of the event was the reveal of N10m, a brand new car and recording management deal worth N250m as star prize for this year’s winner, announced by a member of the GCGT Board Trustee, Pastor Bimbo Ozomah.
‘God’s Children Great Talent is a credible platform created to help discover and showcase natural talent in children and youths for the good of our society and God’s Kingdom.
‘With every season, we are thrilled to welcome a wide range of talents but we know this year, GCGT season 7 will be awesome as it will showcase lots of surprises with significant contribution of added value to Nigeria,’ Ozomah concluded.
This year’s competition will be produced by Nigeria’s leading events production company, Livespot in collaboration with OHTV and televised on partner stations in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, with viewers following the journey of contestants from audition to the grand finale in June at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

ELIGIBILITY
GCGT is a Christian Reality Talent Quest focused on identifying and celebrating talents in young children and teenagers. GCGT provides a credible platform for the expression, development and celebration of talent. All applicants must share the same beliefs as the organisers / promoters. All expression of talent must be in line with the vision, objectives and core values of the organisers / promoters. The *Grand Prize at the finale in Nigeria is N10m, a car & a N250m management contract, alongside other prizes that can be won.
2. Applicants must be between 5-20 years of age. Failure to
verify age or falsified age declaration will lead to automatic
disqualification.
3. Individuals who have recorded or released a track or album are not eligible to contest.
4. Parents of applicants under 18 year must complete the registration form undertakings / terms / conditions on their behalf.
5. Proof of age and ID will be required at the first audition stage for each group member or solo artist.
6. Employees of GCGT TRUSTEE, the GCGT team and their families are not eligible to enter this competition.
7. All Grand Prize Winners and Contracted Ambassadors are not
eligible to participate. 2nd and 3rd prize winners are only eligible to
participate after two years, provided they are still within the
competition age bracket..
